Ecobox > Schedule Programming Almost every electric utility offers what we commonly call "off-peak tariffs", now called Tarifa de Discriminación Horaria (TDH) in Spain. Their main purpose is to stimulate electricity consumption in off-peak time periods like nights or weekends. The most offered tariff is the on-peak/off-peak tariff, which offers up to 45% discount in off-peak hours and 15% surplus in on-peak hours. The idea is to help customers save money at home on nights and weekends.
